Hello and Welcome! I am proud and honored to have worked successfully as an educator and mental health professional since 2004. I've spent the majority of my professional career in an a school setting providing therapeutic services for children ages 3-18. I completed my doctorate in education in May 2024 and I wrote my dissertation about the history of mindfulness in schools. My professional role is transitioning from k-12 education to college level as I have recently accepted a position as faculty in the School of Social Work at Washburn University in the fall of 2024. I am also offering individuals, couples and families therapy in a private setting, using a strengths based, compassionate approach, incorporating the power of mindfulness to help my clients access the benefits of these mind-body-spirit connections and thrive in their lives!
In my free time, I love to eat delicious food, cook, hike, travel, write, cook hang with my daughter, watch YA genre shows and snuggle with our precocious mutt, Winston.
I believe the opposite of trauma is choice. In my yoga classes and in my therapy sessions, I want you to feel in charge to make choices to best navigate your life, today. We will work together to help you see yourself through compassionate eyes, love yourself more, recognize that your already perfect and empower you to take steps to live more fully and freely. What are your personal goals and dreams? We can utilize a variety of techniques including cognitive-behavioral tools as well as embodied and creative techniques to build self awareness, identify strength and resilience and relieve stress. Together, we will map out your path: one step at a time, one breath at a time.

With my personalized, authentic, individual sessions as well as larger group trainings on communication, self-care, and wellness plans, you and your organization will have that extra support to help you identify and meet your goals.
